Marine Enforcement Unit

The Amador County Sheriff’s Marine Enforcement Division is funded by the California Department of Boating and Waterways. It consists of one full time Deputy and several additional Deputies during major holiday weekends and special events.

The Marine Enforcement Division is tasked with enforcing the Harbor and Navigations Code, investigating boating accidents and drownings, and conducting water safety presentations. The Marine Enforcement Unit patrols several waterways in Amador County open to boaters including; Lake Camanche, Lake Pardee, Lake Amador, Bear River Reservoir, and Silver Lake.

Our fleet consists of a North River jet boat, two Jetcraft jet boats and two Kawasaki Jet Skis. All of our vessels are extremely maneuverable and can run in just a few feet of water.
