The Amador County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard is a volunteer assignment comprised of six sworn Deputies, many with military backgrounds. The Honor Guard’s primary responsibility is to honor law enforcement officers by attending police funerals. Participation in the Honor Guard is a collateral duty assignment, with personnel coming from the Investigations Bureau and Patrol Bureau.
Other duties include representing the Department at public events, memorial services and special requests from other law enforcement agencies throughout California. The Honor Guard reflects the highest traditions of Law Enforcement; professionalism, integrity, dignity and respect at the following events:
