The Amador County Sheriff's Department receives numerous requests for our shoulder patches from the public, collectors, other law enforcement personnel, and hobbyists from all over the world.
All of the Amador County Sheriff's Office patches are purchased via the County of Amador with public funds. In California, Article 16, Section 6, of the California State Constitution prohibits the gift of public funds or property purchased with public funds. Due to this and the additional security concerns, it is the policy of the Amador County Sheriff’s Office to not sell or give away shoulder patches to collectors or the general public.
